Tagging – How it works
Make an appointment. I will come to your home and pick up your items. All items should be free from stains, rips, pet hair, and should not be out of date. All toys must have their batteries.
No need for hangers! - I will prep and tag all of your items. No need for sorting, hangers, or safety pins!
No drop-off appointment! - I will store your items until the sale and deliver them directly to FairytaleThreads. No lines. No waiting.
What it costs - Instead of the usual 65% of sales that you receive as a consignor, you will receive 50% of the final sale price. I also charge a $15 supply fee which is payable when I pick up your items. (You will also still need to pay the $10 registration fee for the event.)
Please note, I cannot pick up oversized items (larger than 3ft x 3ft x 3ft). However, these items can be dropped off to me at the sale with express drop-off. I will tag them on-site.
FAQ
What happens to the items that might have stains, rips, or problems that I didn’t catch?
These items will be donated and I will mail you the tax receipt with your final check. You can elect to have these items returned to you for a $15 fee.
How will you decide on the prices for my items?
I will use sale guidelines, comparative online prices, and my 4 year consignment experience.
Do I need to sort my items by size, gender, etc?
No need to presort your items. As long as they are clean and all of the pieces are together, you are all set.
When do you need my items?
I need all items by February 24. However, I can only take a limited number of consignors. So, sign up soon!
I will waive the $15 supply fee for the first three consignors to book an appointment!
Want to do the tagging yourself but need a little help? Here are two other options to help...
Consignment Classes ($50)
I will come to your home for a one hour class and take you through the consigment process from item prep and review to tagging and "day of" preparation. I will provide a tagging starter kit with some hangers, cardstock, safetypins, and a few other consigment essentials. Make it a party and invite additional friends for $10 each!
Deluxe Package
Set up an appointment and I will come to your home and help you organize the children's spaces in your home (bedrooms, closets, playrooms, etc.) We will work together to gather your items for the sale! I will also show you how to prepare your items and set up a "tagging station" and walk you through the consignment process. Contact me for package pricing.
